On behalf of the International Association for K-12 Online Learning (iNACOL), the Center for Education Reform, Innosight Institute and the Alliance for Excellent Education, we would like to invite you to the E-Learning Forum on Capitol Hill for all Members of Congress and legislative staff. E-learning can provide strategies to address key areas of education reform in the Reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA). This forum will address the critical role of technology and e-learning in meeting the need for providing students with a world-class education.

Hosted By: Senator Jeff Bingaman (NM) (event sponsor) and Representative Jared Polis (CO)
Why: To provide a legislative briefing on K-12 e-learning and virtual schools;To examine the federal policies to support e-learning;To discuss the future of learning and how education is changing in the digital age;

To showcase examples of virtual learning.

Harvard Business School professor Clayton Christensen and co-author Michael Horn wrote in their recent book titled, Disrupting Class, that online learning was one of the most significant innovations in K-12 education. Their prediction that 50% of all courses would be delivered online by 2019 – in virtual or hybrid e-learning – is on its way to coming true.
