Two more articles by the authors of Disrupting Class appeared in the past few days. In the September 15, 2008 issue of Forbes magazine, Innosight Institute cofounders Clayton M. Christensen and Michael B. Horn along with Curtis W. Johnson have an article titled “Teaching to the New Test.” The article is an adapted excerpt from Chapter 4 of the book with the addition of a case study on Lexia Learning and its effect on the Hall County school district in Georgia.
In addition, the authors have a new article in a Brazilian publication, Patio — Revista Pedagogica. The article, “Ruptura E Inovacao Na Sala De Aula,” gives a summary of Disrupting Class and shows how it applies in contexts outside of the U.S. — and indeed, how developing countries may present the most promising areas for student-centric learning to take root disruptively.
