School Description

Three Lakes Academy is a no-tuition public charter school with an environmental focus. It provides various outdoor studies that give students the opportunity to learn more about the forest, lakes, and environment that surrounds them. In 2012 the school began a flipped classroom blended model so teachers could have more time to help students with their individual questions and needs.

Program Model

Program Model: Flipped Classroom

Model Description
Students complete their lectures online and work on their homework in class. Teachers are able to monitor student progress and use class time to help students move through their work and clarify concepts. In addition, a portion of class time each day is dedicated to allowing students to work through the QWK2LRN educational games. Students can play by themselves or challenge others, and are able to move through the different stages at their own pace.
