School Description
Silicon Valley Flex Academy (Silicon Valley Flex) is a full-time, tuition-free public charter school located in Morgan Hill in Santa Clara County, serving students in grades 6 through 12. Silicon Valley Flex uses the same innovative instructional model as San Francisco Flex Academy that opened in the Bay Area in 2010.

Model description
Middle school students engage in a mastery based system of learning and are routinely assessed and advanced through a learning pathway at their own pace. High school students have the four curriculum options: K12 core, comprehensive, honors, or advanced placement courses. Offline content includes books, art supplies, and wet lab materials. While students move through online curriculum, on-site accredited teachers are available to provide individual tutoring support as needed. Middle school students spend 40 percent of their time online, whereas high school students spend 60 percent.
