District Description

In the 2013-14 school year, the Recovery School District will be the first all charter school district in the country. The Recovery School District is a special district of the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) charged with an unprecedented challenge and opportunity to tackle and transform chronically underperforming schools. Driven by the goal to create equitable, innovative, and sustainable schools, the Recovery School District maintains a steady pace of transformation.

While the district has no direct involvement in fostering or implementing blended learning, several schools in the district are employing blended learning as a part of achieving these goals.
