School Description
Located in the same town as the University of New Hampshire, Durham High School enlists 700 students from the communities of Durham, Lee, and Madbury. The school has consistently maintained graduation rates at or near 100 percent. One of the school’s teachers, Celeste Best, has received several prestigious awards for her technology initiatives, including the NSTA’s Venier Software & Technology Award and the 2010 New Hampshire Excellence in Education Award. She has engaged in various models of blended learning, including Flipped Classroom and Station Rotation.

Model description
Science students participate in online learning off-site in place of traditional homework. Students then attend class at the brick-and-mortar school for face-to-face, teacher-guided practice or projects. Students receive differentiated instruction by moving at their own pace through the online learning courses.

Model description
Science students participate in several different learning stations within the classroom, one of which is online learning. Other stations may include small-group instruction, individual tutoring, or group projects.
