School Description
Lincoln-King Academy is a public charter schools operated by Cornerstone Charter Schools that serves students in kindergarten through eighth grade in the Detroit area. The school facilitates student success through a standards-based curriculum, rigorous academics, and diverse after-school activities that are designed around students in a safe and nurturing environment. Although the school’s blended-learning model was originally intended for remediation, it has since been integrated into all core subjects.

Program Model: Lab Rotation
Model Description
Students have an allotted time within their class rotation schedule to work on online courses in a computer lab. Each day they focus on a different subject for their allotted lab time. In the students’ subject area classrooms, this opens up the instructional time for discussion, project-based learning, and independent study.
