Charter Management Organization Description

KIPP LA Schools operates five college-preparatory charter schools in East and South Los Angeles. Its first two schools, KIPP Los Angeles College Prep and KIPP Academy of Opportunity, opened in the summer of 2003. KIPP LA Schools believes that blended learning will allow teachers to deliver “personalized attention to each student.” Using the Station Rotation model throughout its schools, KIPP LA students rotate between a number of different modalities. The CMO provides several in-depth resources describing its blended-learning initiatives including case studies, videos, and tours.
