School Description
Impact Academy (IA) is a blended and virtual school program that combines diverse resources of Henry County Schools to meets the specific needs of individual students. The programs use cutting-edge technology and comprehensive instructional design to reach the different learning styles and multiple intelligences of our students, while providing a rigorous, engaging, and interactive curriculum that ensures student success.
At Impact Academy, students can take most or all of their courses online, but still remain an active part of their homeschool by participating in sports and other extracurricular activities. The program starts in 6th grade and is open to all students in the district in grades 6-12. Students come to the Impact Academy program for a variety of reasons: to take classes that do not fit into their normal school schedule or are not offered on their local campus or when they need more personalized support than is offered in the traditional schedule. The model facilitates student independence and helps foster confidence both within and outside of the school environment, encouraging achievement and allowing students to take ownership of their success.
