Program Model
Program model: Station Rotation, Flipped Classroom
Model description
In the middle grades (6-8), students will rotate between group projects, online coursework, and direct instruction for each subject. Teachers use data gathered from the students’ online coursework to decide which students are in need of which direct instruction. As students approach graduation, a more collegiate model will be used to mimic the college experience. For instance, some classes will use a flipped classroom approach where students will learn the material on their own time and use class time to work through the material in small groups.
