Additional Information

Hardware analysis
Pros: Chromebooks are cheap and easy to afford for everyone.

Cons: Chromebooks break easily and are just Internet based, so students can’t save files to them. Also, there are certain programs (like PDFs) that don’t function well on Chromebooks.

Software analysis
Pros: Math XL and Cognitive Tutor consist of ACT type questions and the help mechanisms are great.

Cons: Math XL and Cognitive Tutor focus more on quantity than quality. Although these program have good lower-level thinking multiple choice questions, they don’t offer many deeper-thinking type questions.

Physical space
The physical layout of the classrooms is similar to that of a traditional classroom. Students’ desks are usually set up in pods of four.
