Ben is Sr. Manager of Strategy and Operations, Health Services at Wal-Mart where he uses his knowledge of disruptive innovation to help make accessible and affordable health care a reality. He is former executive director of the Institute’s health care program, where he contributed to seminal research on accountable care organizations and the Affordable Care Act.

Prior to joining the Institute, Ben worked at Covidien, a global medical technology company, where he managed the Innovation Council for the Medical Devices unit. In this role, he was responsible for a portfolio of initiatives focused on organic growth and innovation through process improvement and technology development/acquisition. He began his career as a consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Strategy and Operations Consulting practice in Boston, Mass., where he led and contributed to engagements for Fortune 500 clients in the health care, technology, consumer products and industrials sectors. Ben has also spent time as a strategic marketing analyst at Dow Chemical.

Ben earned a BS in Management from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
