Voice of America ran a report about Disrupting Class: How Disruptive Innovation Will Change the Way the World Learns on June 18, 2008. The report, written by Nancy Steinbach and titled “Book Predicts Jump in High School Courses Online” gives a high-level summary of how technology is moving schools to a student-centric form of learning.

In the report, cofounder of Innosight Institute and coauthor of Disrupting Class, Michael B. Horn, talks about a visit to the Lilla G. Frederick Pilot Middle School in Dorchester, MA that he made recently and about their innovative use of computers to deliver more personalized learning opportunities to its students. Horn has also blogged about this school at the Disrupting Class Web site, http://www.disruptingclass.com.

Michael is a co-founder and distinguished fellow at the Clayton Christensen Institute. He currently serves as Chairman of the Clayton Christensen Institute and works as a senior strategist at Guild Education.
