How community colleges can help close the graduation gap

In Florida, a unique educational agreement is helping community college students reach graduation at a four-year university. The DirectConnect program allows those who earn a two-year community college degree to jump straight to a state school—thus saving thousands of dollars for low-income students who might not otherwise get that chance.
